Sunday Fun Club

We will be running these supervised practice sessions on Sunday mornings during 2020. We expect to start in May when the weather is getting warmer. As usual, watch for further messages as we check the suitability of the weather for these sessions.

Programmes for adults

Adult Sailing Courses over two weekends

These RYA learn to sail weekend courses are a relaxed introduction or refresher and include free club membership (from March until February).
Weekends for 2020:
First course: 2-3 and 9-10 May
Second course: 6-7 and 13-14 June
Third course: 5-6 and 12-13 September

Women on the Water

An RYA Level 1 & 2 course just for women, run by women. This is a basic learn to sail course which is a great building block to becoming a competent cruiser or racer. It is a four-day course spread over the weekends of 16-17 May and 27-28 June 2020.

Assistant Instructor

If you want to do more sailing and not be involved with racing, then this is the course for you. The Assistant Instructor course will allow you to help out on the RYA adult courses which we run at the club and can be used as a stepping stone to becoming a fully fledged Dinghy Instructor. The 2 day course will familiarise you with all the clubs training boats and the key manoeuvres needed to help teach people how to sail effectively and safely. Being able to sail reasonably well is a pre-requisite for this course. This 2 day course is available on 18th & 19th April.

Get into racing weekends

No charge for weekend, except for hire of boats or membership (where needed).
Details to follow soon.
